SWAN Genomics
A deep‑tech genomics company developing a next‑generation DNA sequencing platform based on plasmonic nanoantenna technology — true single‑molecule sequencing without the traditional trade‑offs between accuracy, read length, cost and speed.
How the company was formed, and what it is building.
SWAN Genomics is developing a next‑generation DNA sequencing platform based on plasmonic nanoantenna technology, enabling true single‑molecule sequencing without the traditional trade‑offs between accuracy, read length, cost and speed. The platform has applications across human health, biosecurity, agriculture, food systems, environmental monitoring and emerging industrial use cases.
The company spun out of UNSW Sydney in September 2023. Scientific founders Dr Lawrence Lee and Dr Min Huang lead the technology; commercial co‑founders Brock Siegel and Dr Bill Hyun lead the commercial build. Proto Axiom seeded the company alongside other institutional and strategic investors.
