Richard has a multidisciplinary background spanning biomedical engineering and biomaterials research, early-stage deep-tech startups, and university strategy. He has held roles including Biomedical Enterprise Manager at the University of Sydney, postdoctoral fellow at Imperial College London funded by the Rosetrees Trust and the British Heart Foundation, and co-founder of companies that have successfully raised both private and government funding. Richard holds a BEng/BMedSc and a PhD from the University of Sydney.
